YouTube’s comment design has quirks no other platform shares. Get one wrong and the screenshot stops looking like YouTube. This is what the generator draws:
- @handles above the text. Since YouTube moved to handles, every comment is signed with an @name in regular-weight Roboto above the comment, with the timestamp at the right end of the same line.
- A gray verified check. Verified channels get a small gray checkmark, not a blue badge.
- Only likes are counted. The action row shows a thumbs-up with a number, a thumbs-down with no number (YouTube hides dislike counts), then a comment icon with the reply count.
- The creator heart is an avatar. When the channel owner likes a comment, YouTube shows their tiny profile picture with a red heart on it, rather than a plain heart icon.
- The owner’s name gets a pill. Replies from the channel itself show the handle inside a blue rounded highlight, so viewers can spot the creator in a long thread.
- "Pinned by" names the channel. A pinned comment carries a pin icon and the line "Pinned by @channel" above it.
- Replies sit indented. The reply count shows on the comment icon, and the replies sit indented below the parent with smaller avatars.
Shorts Comment Stickers vs Watch-Page Comment Screenshots
For Shorts, use the sticker. YouTube lets creators reply to a comment with a new Short, and the comment shows up on screen as a card. A comment sticker recreates that card: one comment, a white or dark rounded box, transparent around the edges. Put it in the top third of the vertical frame and answer it on camera.
For long videos, use the comment section. The comment area under a watch page is where viewers leave timestamps, corrections and inside jokes. When you need that context, for a "reading your comments" video, a course sales page or a slide about community feedback, build the thread with replies, the creator’s pinned answer and the blue owner pill.

How to Make a Fake YouTube Comment

Choose a Shorts sticker or a watch-page thread
Comment sticker gives one floating comment for a Short or thumbnail. Comment section recreates the comment area under a video, with indented replies and the reply count on the comment icon.

YouTube shows handles, so start the name with @ ("@dev.notes"). Write the comment, then add the time in YouTube’s long format, such as "3 days ago".

YouTube Comment Realism Checklist
- ✓ Write the time out in full. YouTube says "2 hours ago", never "2h". Add "(edited)" to one comment for an extra touch of authenticity.
- ✓ Abbreviate big like counts. YouTube rounds large numbers to "1.2K" or "38K"; a count like "38,112" looks typed by hand.
- ✓ Mix brand and personal handles. Channels often use camel case ("@LumiSkinOfficial") while viewers use lowercase with dots or numbers ("@dev.notes", "@mike_0921").
- ✓ One creator heart per screenshot. Creators heart a few comments, not all of them. Hearting every reply makes the thread look staged.
- ✓ Let comments run long. YouTube viewers write more than TikTok viewers do; a two- or three-sentence comment under a long video is normal.
