People spot a fake IG comment through small layout mistakes, usually because the card was built from a TikTok or Facebook template. These are the Instagram details this generator reproduces:

• Handle and time on top. The bold handle sits on its own line with the time in gray beside it, and the comment text starts on the line below.
• Likes are written out. The gray row under the comment reads "48 likes  Reply", with the count spelled as words rather than shown next to a heart.
• The heart lives on the right. A small outline heart sits at the far right of each comment, lined up with the handle.
• The verified badge is a jagged star. Instagram’s blue check sits inside a scalloped badge, not a plain circle, and appears right after the handle.
• Tagged handles turn blue. Any @handle inside the comment text is colored, which is why giveaway and "@ your bestie" comments look so distinctive.
• Replies collapse under a line. Nested replies are indented beneath the parent with a "View 3 replies" divider, and a pinned comment carries a small "Pinned" label above it.
• Dark mode is true black. Instagram’s dark theme uses a #000 background with light gray text, darker than most apps’ charcoal dark modes.

Comment Sticker or Comment Section? Picking the IG Format

Use the comment sticker for Reels. When a creator replies to a comment with a Reel, the comment appears on screen as a floating card. Recreating that card is the standard way to open a Reels ad or a reply video: the question is on screen, the creator answers it out loud. The sticker exports with a transparent background so you can scale and place it anywhere on the frame.

Use the comment section for screenshots. Feed posts, carousels and landing pages show comments as a thread, so build the whole conversation: a customer question, the brand’s verified reply, two or three reactions underneath. This is also the format for "the comments on this post are sending me" style memes, where the joke is the thread itself.

   Fill in the time ("3d", "2w") and the like count, which the card writes out as "214 likes". Turn on the verified badge, Pinned or Liked by creator only where the story needs it.

   Pick light or dark to match your footage, download the PNG at 2x or 3x, and position the sticker over the Reel in your editor, usually in the top third so captions stay readable.

Instagram Comment Realism Checklist

• ✓ Use Instagram’s time format. Instagram shortens ages to "5m", "3h", "4d" and "2w". A stamp like "2 days ago" belongs to a different app.
• ✓ Start replies with the handle. When you reply on Instagram the app pre-fills "@username", so real replies often begin with the person they answer.
• ✓ Scale likes to the account. A small creator’s top comment might have 37 likes; a celebrity post’s top comment has thousands. Mismatched numbers give the game away.
